Being a role model for DH is paying off! Last night he brushed his teeth and made his bed without me telling/asking! (man I sound like a mother…which is why I have stopped telling him to do things)

Yesterday I also pushed myself. It was 30 minutes before my bedtime routine alarm goes off and I was iffy about just going online to surf. Instead, I completed two more items on my list. I am so proud of myself. This is an awesome feeling. I am keeping th promises I make to myself. I’m glad that I get the opportunity to work on this for a month and that I have support from someone else. This process is even inspiring me to write blog posts. Now I just have to schedule time to do them (which I have. I’m now just typing most of what I have written in my journal).

I have found that I do better if I organize everything I need to do into one list instead of just individual lists. I start off that way but when I letter and number them, instead of A,B,C, in each category, I say “Okay, here is what needs to be done today (A), and here’s what I would like to do today (B), and here is what would be nice to do today but can wait (C). That means some categories may not have anything in A but will have B and C items. Some categories may have nothing in B, but will in A and C. And some will only have A and B. I think this is easier for me because I don’t feel like I have to finish one category before moving on to the next. At one point I tried finishing all of the A’s in one category then move on to the A’s in the next category, but found that some things were more important in the A’s of the other category. My mind goes all over the place, so I feel like this is a good system setup for me. Baby steps. I am definitely finding what works for me.
